I guess a lot of people would rate this 5/5 because of the "The Future" actually, that's the only redeeming track in this release. There isn't anything special about the B-Side "Bulga" which is an O.K. progressive house track. The CDM release might have a hidden gem as I haven't listened to "The Float" yet.
I'm very surprised that nobody has commented on this track, after all this time! The Future is an absolute trance anthem, once heard never forgotten. Combining Visions Of Shiva style refrains with a more pumping 1994 bassline, the track starts fantastically well and just gets better. The most fresh sounding riff enters, although it's more like an apreggiated pad. Such a chilled vibe, it's impossible to resist. I've heard tracks from 2000 and beyond that still use this sound. Then it all drops, and guess what? Acid! Yeah, this track rocks! All elements are combined with care and imagination; this track is technically and musically superb. As I said, I'm surprised that I'm the first to comment.
